Dinosaur Egg Localities

There are about 200 localities around the world where dinosaur eggs have been found. The best place to find dinosaur eggs is in China and it is also here that the largest dinosaur eggs have been found (in the Xixia Basin). These huge eggs were 46 centimeters long. In addition to China, Mongolia, Argentina, the Great Plains in North America and India have excellent dinosaur egg sites. The most recent dinosaur egg finds were uncovered in 1999 near Albas in France. It is still a mystery as to what kind of dinosaur eggs these were. Other recent sites producing sauropod and theropod dinosaur eggs have been found near Tremp in Spain, in addition to Argentina and Chile.
